Terms & Conditions

Smart Finish Detailing LTD
(Mobile Detailing Services – UK)

BEFORE YOU BOOK – IMPORTANT

By requesting a quote, paying a deposit, or confirming a booking with Smart Finish Detailing LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”), you (“the customer”) confirm that you have read and understood the following:

1. You Must Raise All Concerns Before Booking

Before confirming your booking, you must inform us of:

Any previous paintwork or resprays

Any known defects or damage

Any areas you expect significantly improved

Any existing ceramic coatings or sealants

Any expectations of “full correction” or perfection

If concerns are not raised prior to booking, we cannot be held responsible for outcomes outside the agreed scope of work.

2. Detailing Is Not Body Repair

Our services improve and enhance cosmetic appearance. We do not:

Fill deep scratches

Repair dents

Repaint panels

Rebuild failing lacquer

Machine polishing reduces defects but cannot safely remove all imperfections. If you are expecting near-perfect correction, this must be discussed before booking.

3. Ceramic Coating Expectations

Any durability period mentioned is a manufacturer estimate only.

No coating lifespan is guaranteed.

Aftercare is entirely the customer’s responsibility.

Any washing or treatment carried out by third parties may cause premature degradation.

Automatic car washes and harsh chemicals will significantly reduce coating performance.

If you are unsure about maintenance requirements, you must ask before booking.

4. Mobile Service Requirements

By booking, you confirm that you can provide:

Safe and legal access

Adequate working space

Access to an outdoor water supply

You expressly agree to allow Smart Finish Detailing LTD to use your water supply for the duration of the service.

Failure to provide suitable access or utilities may result in cancellation and forfeiture of your deposit.

FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms operate in accordance with UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. Booking & Non-Refundable Deposits

5.1 All bookings require a non-refundable deposit.
5.2 No appointment is confirmed until the deposit has cleared.
5.3 Deposits are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellation or no-show.
5.4 By paying a deposit, you agree to all Terms & Conditions listed herein.

6. Cancellations & No Shows

6.1 Cancelling your appointment at any time results in forfeiture of your deposit.
6.2 Failure to provide access at the agreed appointment time is treated as a no-show and results in loss of deposit.
6.3 Repeated cancellations may result in refusal of future bookings.

7. Weather & External Conditions

7.1 As a mobile service, work is weather dependent.
7.2 We reserve the right to reschedule in unsuitable weather.
7.3 If a customer declines a weather-related reschedule, the deposit remains non-refundable.

8. Vehicle Condition & Pre-Existing Damage

8.1 The customer must disclose all known defects prior to work.
8.2 We are not liable for:

Pre-existing scratches, dents, stone chips, or paint defects

Failing lacquer or weak paint

Poor previous repairs or resprays

Loose trim or badges

Electrical or mechanical faults

8.3 Machine polishing and chemical processes carry inherent risk, especially on previously repaired panels. By proceeding, you accept this risk.

8.4 Some detailing processes may reveal hidden defects. This does not constitute damage caused by us.

9. Ceramic Coatings – No Guarantee & Aftercare Exclusion

9.1 Any durability or lifespan mentioned is strictly a manufacturer estimate.
9.2 Smart Finish Detailing LTD provides no guarantee or warranty regarding coating longevity unless explicitly provided in writing.
9.3 Aftercare and maintenance are solely the responsibility of the customer after handover.
9.4 Any washing, chemical treatment, or maintenance carried out outside of Smart Finish Detailing LTD may result in premature coating failure.
9.5 We accept no responsibility for coating degradation caused by third-party washing, automated car washes, neglect, misuse, environmental exposure, or improper maintenance.
9.6 Aftercare maintenance services are not included unless separately booked.

10. Service Standard & Consumer Rights

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

10.1 We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill.
10.2 Detailing is a cosmetic enhancement service, not a restoration or repair guarantee.
10.3 We do not guarantee 100% defect removal.
10.4 Results vary depending on vehicle condition, age, and history.

Unrealistic expectations or undisclosed defects do not constitute service failure.

11. Inspection & Complaints Procedure

11.1 The vehicle must be inspected upon completion before we leave the premises.
11.2 Once we leave, the service is deemed accepted and satisfactory.
11.3 We are not responsible for contamination occurring after completion (rain, dust, bird droppings, etc.).
11.4 Any complaint must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of service completion.
11.5 We reserve the right to inspect and rectify any legitimate issue before any refund or compensation is considered.

Refunds will not be issued where services have been provided with reasonable care and skill.

12. Payment Terms

12.1 Full payment is due immediately upon completion.
12.2 Failure to pay may result in recovery action and associated costs.
12.3 Vehicles will not be released until payment has been received in full where applicable.

13. Personal Belongings

Customers must remove all valuables before the appointment.

We accept no liability for loss or damage to personal items left inside the vehicle.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

Our liability is limited to the value of the service provided.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, illness, accidents, supplier failure, or government restrictions.

Final Agreement

By paying a deposit and confirming your booking, you confirm that:

You have read the “Before You Book” section

You have disclosed all relevant vehicle information

You accept deposits are non-refundable

You agree to provide water and safe access

You accept that ceramic coatings are not guaranteed

You accept responsibility for ongoing maintenance

You agree to these Terms & Conditions in full
